Islamabad: The PML-N leader, Irfan Siddiqui, who was a spokesman for the Government Committee for conversations with the opposition, has asked the PTI to show “seriousness” about dialogue, saying that the Government had already offered conversations with the opposition party.
Both parties had held multiple rounds of conversations earlier this year, but the dialogue did not advance due to a dead point of PTI’s demands, including the formation of a violence commission of May 9.
Speaking on a private television program, said the senator in democracies that the opposition uses constitutional and democratic forms, not a violent protest. He described the PTI plan to organize a protest on August 14 as the continuation of the May 9 mentality. “The government is not concerned about PTI’s protest call since the public had already rejected the party and showed no support for the PTI protest call on August 5,” he added.
He started the founder of PTI imprisoned Imran Khan for what he called “diverting from parliamentary and democratic norms.” He said that the PTI was following its ‘anti -democratic practices’ by boycotting the next partial elections. He said the PTI already faced cracks in its ranks due to internal divisions and divisions.
He added that all state institutions worked normally, saying that the PTI was trying to paint a gloomy image of government affairs.
