Karachi: the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) on Monday accused Karachi police of “assaulting” the headquarters of his city, “stealing” all belongings inside and sealing many of the rooms in the building.
However, the police rejected the accusations of raids and said that only a legal process was carried out in Isaf’s house by a sheriff in relation to the party lease dispute.
Party leaders said the movement of the law for the application of the law was a surprise because the authorities did not give a prior notification. They also accused the police officers “behaving badly with the workers” who came to the headquarters and tried to put some resistance.
The president of PTI-Karachi, Raja Azhar, came up with a strong reaction against the “police raid”, describing it as the “worst form of martial law.”

“A strong police force assaulted Insaf’s house, broke the locks and entered the rooms. Why did they assaulted our office? We have consistently been saying that the government of Sindh should stop these illegal actions, ”he added.
He said that the PTI is the greatest political party and that no one can harass its workers in this way. “Insaf House is our political home, and any illegal incursion on the police will be considered an attack against us,” he added.
The videos and images shared by the party showed empty rooms of the building after the alleged raid, while the seals were found at the entrance of their various rooms.
PTI spokeswoman Fauzia Siddiqi said that the Raiding Police party also removed the computers and all other things in the party cell installed inside the House of Insaf.
Police denies the accusation of raids
However, the police rejected PTI’s accusations.
A statement issued by the Karachi police chief office said a raid was not carried out.
He said that a police mobile accompanied a sheriff, who carried out legal procedures in Isaf’s house in a lease dispute by order of the civil judge-south. “The police mobile was present only for the sacacil’s safety,” said the statement.
However, the PTI called to the police claim “ridicule” and said there is no lease dispute.
“The PTI is in conversations with the owner of the building to buy the property for a long time. But the matter entered the burner after the political crisis arose and the party was under state restrictions. However, the conversations are still going through the defined legal forms and it is a lie that the party is in some type of dispute with the owner, “added Mrs. Siddiqi.
