The president of the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, announced on Tuesday that the remaining eight parties of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), postponed due to the conflict with India, would resume from May 17, with the final scheduled for May 25.
The PSL first moved to the EAU and subsequently postponed after an Indian drone crashed near the Cricket Rawalpindi stadium last week.
In a publication in X Today, Naqvi declared that the league will collect from where he left. “Let the aura take over while we join and celebrate the spirit of the Cricket,” he wrote.
Previously, it was reported that the six PSL franchises communicated with the players, who were transferred from the country on a charter flight during the weekend when cross -border skames with India intensified last week, to return after reaching a high fire agreement.
“The franchises are in negotiations with their foreign players regarding the tentative dates from May 17 to 25 with Rawalpindi proposed to be the place for the remaining matches,” fountains said sources said. Sunrise Mondays.
“As soon as the franchises confirm the availability of foreign players, the PCB will announce the schedule of the remaining matches after obtaining the approval of President Mohsin Naqvi,” the sources added.
Without an international cricket during the proposed window, the PCB hopes that foreign players return.
However, the reports suggested that Australian players may not be open to the idea of returning to Pakistan or India, which also saw its T20 tournament, the Premier League India, suspended due to intense hostilities.
While most Australian players in both countries went home, former Australia batter Ricky Ponting, now coach of the IPL Punjab Kings side, eliminated his flight home after the high -fire agreement.
