‘Privilege for our country’: PM Modi to attend Mauritius National Day as guest of honour, PM Navin Ramgoolam tells assembly | India News


Nueva Delhi: Mauricio’s prime minister, Navin Ramgolam, announced Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the 57 National Day celebrations as a guest of honor.
While heading to Parliament, Ramgoolam said it would be honor of the country to receive that leader despite his very tight schedule and his recent visits to Paris and the United States.
“I have great pleasure to inform the house that after my invitation, Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, kindly agreed to be the guest of honor for our national day celebrations,” Ramgoolam said.

“In fact, it is a unique privilege for our country, organizing such a distinguished personality that this honor is doing to us, despite its very tight schedule and its recent visits to Paris and the United States. It has agreed to be here as our special guest .
The country will celebrate its national day on March 12.
Last year, President Draupadi Murmu participated in the 56 celebrations of the National Day of Mauricio as the main guest.
At the beginning of November, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Ramgoolam for his electoral victory in Mauricio.
In a publication publication in X, Prime Minister Modi said: “I had a warm conversation with my friend @ramgoolam_dr, congratulating him for his historic electoral victory. I wished him a great success in leading Mauricio and extending an invitation to visit the India.
The day of Mauricio commemorates the independence of the country of East Africa from Great Britain in 1968 and its transition to a Republic in 1992.
