London – Prince William and Princess Kate of Great Britain are preparing to move to a new home in search of a “new beginning” after a challenging period for the family.
The real ones, along with their children George, Charlotte and Louis, will move to the eight -bedroom forest lodge in Windsor Great Park.
The family has lived in Adelaide Cottage within the lands of the Windsor Castle since August 2022, but after a tumultuous period marked by the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the treatment of Kate cancer, they felt it was the right time for a change.
“Windsor has become his home. However, in recent years, while they have lived in Adelaide Cottage, there have been some really difficult moments,” said a real source of NBC News.
“Move gives them a chance for a new beginning and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave behind some of the most unhappy memories. This is a long -term movement. They see it as their home forever,” added the source.
The family first moved from the Kensington Palace in London to Windsor three years ago.
This last movement is being financed in private, with William and Kate paying the market rental. As with Adelaide Cottage, the family will not have living staff.
In addition to his new Windsor house, the family maintains other residences, including Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where much of school holidays pass.
Its offices remain in the Kensington Palace.
At the end of last year, William described the previous twelve as “brutal” and “the most difficult year of my life”, after cancer diagnoses for both his wife and his father, King Carlos III.
Kate announced this January that he was in remission, months after completing his chemotherapy treatment. She spoke in July to feel that she had to put a “brave face” but find the period after her treatment “really … difficult.”
