London – British regulators criticized Wednesday in both parties in a dispute over the future of a charity organization founded by Prince Harry and Prince’s Prince of Lesotho, for allowing the issue to develop in public and damaging the reputation of the organization.
The Charity Commission for England and Wales continued to say that it did not find evidence of generalized intimidation or misogyny in Sentebale, which provides support to young people who live with HIV in Botswana and Lesotho.
The Commission opened a review of Sinnebale’s governance in April after the two princes resigned when customers and a group of trusts, saying that the relationship between the Board and its president, Sophie Chandauka, was out of repair. Harry’s spokesman attacked the decision of the commission.
The report “is left without problems in many aspects, mainly the fact that the consequences of the current president’s actions will not be assumed by her, but by the children who trust SeedBale’s support,” said Harry’s spokesman in a statement.
Harry will now analyze alternative ways to help young people in Botswana and Lesotho, said the spokesman.
Chandauka welcomed the report, saying that he confirmed the governance problems he raised earlier this year.
“The unexpected adverse media campaign that was launched by those who resigned on March 24, 2025 has caused incalculable damage and offers an idea of unacceptable behaviors shown in private,” he said in a statement.
Harry and Noto founded Seedbale in 2006 to honor their deceased mothers.
