The rains prior to the monsoon were recorded on Monday in several Punjab districts in the last 24 hours, according to the Provincial Authority of Disaster Management (PDMA).

The statement added that Noorpur Thal received 29 mm of rain, Shamsabad in Rawalpindi 14 mm, Gujranwala 28 mm, Sialkot 11 mm, Mianwali 10 mm, while Hafizabad received 9 mm rain.
5 mm of rain were recorded in Sargodha, 04 mm in Jhang, 1 mm in Joharabad, Gujrat and Kasur.
The light rain was also recorded in Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sheikhupura and Nanowal, according to the PDMA.

It is likely that the rain will continue in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, fine, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal, according to the statement.
Punjab (DG) PDMA Director Irfan Ali Kathi instructed citizens to take precautionary measures, added that they should remain in safe places during rays and thunder.
