Saskatchewan RCMP has published the identities of the four people killed in the Kettle Nakoda nation last week.
The officers responded to a death report in the reserve, located about 80 kilometers east of Regina, at 11:15 am CT on February 4. They found four people dead in a house.
They were Tracey Hotomani, 34, and Terry Jack, 51, to take the Kettle Nakoda nation, Shauna Fay, 47, of Indian Head and Sheldon Quewezance, 44, of Zagime Anishinabek.
RCMP said in a press release that they were launching the identities of the victims “to help promote research.” Police said the four victims were “injured by firearms.”
RCMP said the victims families provided the photographs and allowed them to share.
“We share our condolences with the families and members of the community affected by this tragedy,” police said in the press release.
Hours after the quadruple homicide on February 4, RCMP said they received reports from a man pointing out people in the neighboring community of Carry The Kettle, Zagime Anishinabek. Later that night, the 29 -year -old Regina Police Service was arrested by the Regina Police Service.
In his Tuesday update, RCMP said no arrests have been made in relation to the death of the four victims and the investigation of the Arms incident in Zagime Anishinabek continues.
“We are actively investigating this tragedy to rebuild the details of what happened; this takes time,” said Insp. Ashley St. Germaine, a senior investigation officer of the main crime unit, at the launch of RCMP.
“We must take into account that releasing more specific details could affect general research.”
RCMP said the investigation continues, even with the neighborhoods of the collaboration in carrying the teapot and talking with people who could have relevant information.
