Police arrested a driver who allegedly hit five people on a catwalk at the Metropolitan University of Toronto in April.
The incident occurred on April 15, around 2 in the afternoon, in Nelson Mandela Walk, a pedestrian road on the TMU campus near Yonge and Gerrard streets.
Toronto Police said the victims were sitting in a bank, when Ryan Petrff, 23, led his car to them. Initially, the police said there were four victims, but said Friday that a fifth was identified in the days after the incident.
None of the victims had potentially mortal wounds, police said.
Police at that time said that Petrff could have acted intentionally and believed that one of the people on the catwalk was known by him.
The police did not comment on the possible motivation or relationship between the two.
Toronto Police said in a press release on Friday that Petrff was arrested after an anger incident on the road in the area of Morningsis Avenue and Highway 401 on Thursday.
It was arrested for 24 positions, including murder attempt, sexual assault with a weapon, two assault charges that caused body damage, three assault charges with a weapon and four charges of breach of probation.
Toronto police told him CBC On Friday that 13 of those positions are in relation to the TMU incident.
