Two men were arrested Monday for hurting three people, including two children, in a shooting incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s limit, police said.
Police spokesman, Adnan Haider, said Dawn.com“A man, along with his son, shot his brother -in -law about a monetary dispute in May Bazaar.”
Haider said that during the shooting, two children who were also injured. “The children were identified as Shekhanu Kaly residents, Dirl Lower,” he said.
A press release from the District Police said the two suspects had been arrested, and that a case had been registered for a greater investigation.
“The probe is underway so that all aspects of the incident can be completely exposed.”
Haider said the injured were transferred to the May Hospital for Medical Assistance and a first information report (FIR) was recorded at the Police Station.
“The Lower DPO DPO (District Police officer) appreciated the timely and successful action of the police team and made it clear that the Dir Lower police are always on alert to guarantee the safety of lives and property of citizens,” added the press release.
National disputes are common in Pakistan, often triggered by financial problems, family heritage or interference. In some cases, these increase due to the lack of conflict resolution mechanisms, the weak legal application and deeply rooted patriarchal standards.
Earlier this month, four family members of a woman were shot dead in the Tatara area of the Nowshera District of KP, supposedly for her husband and in -law for a domestic dispute, according to the police.
Also this month, a man supposedly killed his son and daughter -in -law after an argument in the Tangi area of the Charsadda district.
