Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the heir prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, for his role in the end of the conflict between Pakistan and India last month.
The prime minister, accompanied by his delegation, including the head of the Army, the vice president Prime Minister and the federal ministers, also made Umrah on Friday when the pilgrims made the last important ritual of Haj, the “the devil’s cornerstone”.
The prime minister, who is in an official two -day visit to Saudi Arabia, met with Saudi heir prince in Makkah, according to an official press release issued by the prime minister’s office.
“The prime minister expressed his appreciation for the proactive role of the kingdom during recent tensions between Pakistan and India, and his firm commitment to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz also stressed the responsible restriction policy of Pakistan in the face of Indian aggression, emphasizing that “sustainable peace in southern Asia can be achieved only through dialogue.”
The meeting reaffirmed the deep, strategic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister was accompanied by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Marshal of the Army Personnel, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and the Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar.
The prime minister also extended the greetings of Eidul Azha to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and the heir prince on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan.
He praised the hospitality and service of the kingdom to pilgrims around the world found in Saudi Arabia to make Haj.
Situation in Gaza
The two leaders also discussed the terrible humanitarian situation in Gaza.
They urged the international community to fulfill their moral and legal obligations of helping the people of Palestine.
They reiterated support for a fair and lasting resolution to the Palestinian problem in line with the corresponding resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his satisfaction with political, economic and security bilateral cooperation.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepen the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister invited Prince Prince to visit Pakistan, who accepted.
Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz, accompanied by the head of the army and his delegation, Umrah made.
The delegation offered prayers within the Santo Kaaba, said the press release.
Nawaz offers eid sentences
Meanwhile, the former prime minister and president of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, offered EID prayer in the Regents Park mosque in London.
According to media reports, he prayed for the development and prosperity of the country.
He also urged the United Nations to play his role in solving the problem of Kashmir.
Last Haj Rite
More than 1.6 million pilgrims who made Haj ‘Stoned The Devil’ on Friday, while Muslims around the world celebrated Eidul Azha.
Starting at dawn, the pilgrims threw seven stones at each of the three concrete walls that symbolize the devil in the Mina Valley, on the outskirts of Makkah.
This year’s HAJ saw markedly thinner crowds when the authorities implemented a wide repression of illicit pilgrims with a strong presence of security in sacred sites in Makkah and its surroundings.
The measures, including heat mitigation efforts, aimed to prevent HAJ repetition of last year that saw 1,301 people die in temperatures that reached 51.8 degrees Celsius.
