Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will embark on a two -day visit to the United Arab Emirates (EAU) on Monday by the invitation of President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan to participate in the top of World Governments (WGS) in Dubai.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) on Sunday said this would be the second visit of the EAU prime minister since he assumed the office in March 2024.
Last month, the United Arab Emirates expressed great interest in collaboration with Pakistan in the mineral and agriculture sectors during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz and the president of the EAA, Sheikh Al Nahyan in Rahim Yar Khan, on 5 of January.
“It will be accompanied by a high -level delegation that includes the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and other key cabinet members,” according to the Press Office of the FO.
“During his visit, the prime minister will deliver an opening speech at the WGS, highlighting Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation and governance reforms,” he added.
The Summit will bring together a large number of heads of state and government, global policy formulators and leading private sector figures to discuss the future of governance, innovation and international cooperation, said Fo.
Prime Minister Shehbaz will also hold bilateral meetings with the leadership of the EAU and interact with the heads of state/government of the participating countries and the main CEO of the main multinational companies, the press release continued.
“Pakistan and the EAU share a deeply rooted fraternal relationship based on mutual trust, mutually beneficial cooperation of long data, the EAU remain one of Pakistan’s key economic and strategic partners, with a strong collaboration in multiple sectors” , the fo added.
“The Pakistani diaspora in the EAU, which is the second largest Pakistani expatriate community worldwide, continues to play a fundamental role in the development and success of both countries, serving as a bridge between the two nations,” the statement continued of press.
“The visit of the Prime Minister underlines Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further strengthen his ties with the EAU, promoting greater economic collaboration and exploring new ways of association for mutual prosperity,” concluded the press release.
Last month, Prime Minister Shehbaz had revealed that the EAU decided to shoot a debt of $ 2 billion expiring in January, providing critical financial relief to Pakistan.
In his televised opening comments at a federal cabinet meeting he presided, the prime minister informed the members of his “positive and constructive” meeting with the president of the EAU, discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties and the bilateral ties and the Investment cooperation.
After a one -day visit to the EAU in April last year, Prime Minister Shehbaz said he rejected the proverbial bowl of begging while ensuring promises of an investment worth $ 10 billion in Pakistan of the main leadership of the Emirates.
