Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, currently on a two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia, Umrah held on Thursday night and Friday, offering sentences for the country’s success in Operation Bunyan-Mou-Marsoos, the government said in its X account.
The delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Prince Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for a visit from June 5 to 6, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The visit focuses on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas between both nations. Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to thank Saudi leadership for his constructive role in reducing the recent Pakistan-India conflict.
Prime Minister Shehbaz was accompanied by the Army Campo Chief, General also Munir, VicePrimer Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and the Minister of Information and Radiodification, Attaullah Tarar, who also performed the UMRAH.
The doors of Kaaba, the most sacred site in Islam, opened especially for the delegation, where they offered prayers for the prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim community worldwide, particularly the Muslims in Gaza and the Kashmir occupied by India. They also expressed their gratitude for Pakistan’s success against the Indian aggression last month and recent economic growth.
“This visit underlines the deep and proven ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, anchored in shared faith, mutual respect and strategic association,” said the fo.
The statement also added: “Reaffirms the leadership commitment of deepening the economic and diplomatic commitment, aligning with the 2030 vision of Saudi Arabia and the development priorities of Pakistan.
