Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday formed a committee to guarantee the early realization of the comprehension memorandes (MOU) and the agreements signed with Azerbaiyan during his recent visit to the country.

The decision to form the panel, in charge of preparing agreements in the energy and infrastructure sectors, occurred when Prime Minister Shehbaz presided over a meeting to review the implementation of the agreements signed with Azerbaijan.
The prime minister ordered the authorities to present an action plan to increase the commercial volume of the country with Azerbaijan to $ 2 billion.
In addition, he ordered that all preparations be completed “priority” before the expected visit of the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the country in April.
During the two -day visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz to the State of Central Asia, President Aliyev had also assured the Prime Minister who would visit Islamabad this April to formalize the $ 2 billion agreements for investment in Pakistan.
The prime minister “also instructed the appointment of trade officers in Azerbaijan and other countries with a significant potential of trade with Pakistan,” said the statement.
Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed the “long -standing fraternal relations between Pakistan and Azerbaija,” and added that the government was taking measures to “capitalize on the vast potential of trade and investment between Pakistan and the states of Central Asia.”
The participants of the meeting were informed that 83 Pakistani and 101 Azerbaijan companies participated in the Pakistan-Azerbaiyan business forum held in Baku last week, which was attended by the prime minister.
During the visit of the Prime Minister, 13 mous and agreements between Pakistan and Azerbaiyan were signed to promote bilateral cooperation, according to Application.
Of these, four mous belonged to the oil that involved Pakistan State Oil Company LTD (PSO) and the State Petroleum Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Socar).
Another pact was an amendment agreement for the sale and purchase of LNG loads related to the LNG sales and purchase agreement.
