PM Shehbaz contacts President Zardari, enquires about his health – Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted President Asif Ali Zardari and asked about his health on Tuesday after the media reports about the hospitalization of the latter.

While there was no official word of the Presidency or the PPP regarding the health of its co -chair, the media reported today, citing Fuentes, which President Zardari had been hospitalized in Karachi after being brought from Nawabshah.

When he contacted a comment, he told him a source close to the party Dawn.com that he was “experiencing some tests and would be discharged soon.”

A statement from the Press Information Department issued today said that Prime Minister Shehbaz contacted the president and asked about his well -being, offering sentences for the early recovery of Zarari.

“May God give you a complete health soon. The prayers of the whole nation are with you,” the prime minister said.

Meanwhile, a statement from the office of the governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori said he called President Dr. As Hussain’s doctor and asked about Zardari’s health while expressing his wishes.

The president had fractured his foot as he advised against a plane in October 2024. After the fall, he was immediately taken to a hospital to receive treatment. After a check, the doctor placed his foot in a cast.

At 69, the president has had multiple health problems in recent years.

In March 2023, he underwent ocular surgery in the United Arab Emirates.

In 2022, he was admitted to Dr. Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi for a week for the treatment of chest infection. Amid the rumors of poor health, his personal doctor and close assistant, Dr. Asi, went to the social media platform X to confirm that “he has good health.”

He tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2022, but only experienced “mild symptoms,” according to his son and president of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.

A year before that, Zardari was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi due to “effort and exhaustion” caused by his frequent trips.
