Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday presented a comprehensive well -being package for Pakistani abroad, with the aim of resolving long -standing legal challenges and offering a variety of incentives, including work quotas and employment employment, civil awards and skill development opportunities.
When heading to the first Pakistani convention abroad of two days held in Islamabad, the prime minister paid tribute to those expatriates for his unique contribution to the construction of the nation.
More than 1,200 Pakistani expatriates from all over the world attended, the Convention highlighted the contributions of more than 10 million Pakistani abroad that the prime minister acclaimed as “the pride of the nation.”
The Prime Minister announced that the Special Court of Pakistani abroad had already been established in Islamabad and would extend to all provinces for the rapid resolution of legal cases presented by the expatriates.
“To support this, the government is introducing electronic recording and electronic presentation facilities so that Pakistani abroad provide evidence through a video link from abroad without traveling to Pakistan […] I have ordered Nadra (National Database and Registration Authority) to complete the project within 60 days, ”he told the audience a legal amendment to stop fictitious litigation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz announced quotas in educational institutions, including a five percent quota in all authorized universities (10,000 seats) for Pakistani children abroad, 5 PC in federal capital and 15pc awards institutes in medical schools.
“The Federal Income Board (FBR) will consider the Pakistani abroad, allowing relief in bank taxes and commercial transactions. In addition, NavTTC (National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training) will offer 5,000 skills development courses to children of expatriates,” he said.
In addition, the prime minister said that the federal government had granted a relaxation of the age of five years for male employment applicants abroad and a seven -year relaxation for foreign women to request government jobs.
Separately, the income meetings have established special facilitation offices in Punjab and Baluchistan, with efforts to replicate the initiative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The Prime Minister praised the digital reforms of Punjab, including the registration of online sales deeds, and announced that the system was tested in the High Pakistani commission in London and then in other missions around the world.
He praised the foreign community for his unwavering support for Pakistan’s economy, particularly pointing out the record of $ 4.1 billion in remittances sent only in March.
“We estimate that at the end of this fiscal year, remittances will exceed $ 38 billion, exceeding the total exports of the country,” he said.
He also announced the Renaissance of the Green Canal at airports within a week, originally initiated by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to simplify Pakistani procedures abroad.
He announced that every year on August 14, the Pakistani abroad outstanding would be awarded civil awards based on remittance contributions, as traced by the State Bank of Pakistan.
The diplomatic missions and the Pakistanis Foundation abroad (OPF) will present their nominations for that purpose, he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz paid tribute to the Armed Forces, particularly the head of the Army personnel (COAS), Syed also Munir, whom he called “a man of words and an unmatched capacity.”
“Pakistan’s defense is impregnable under his leadership,” said the prime minister, warning that any threat to the nation would be “crushed by the brave armed forces.”
He highlighted the unmatched sacrifices of 80,000 Pakistani, including civilians and security personnel, in the fight against terrorism.
“Directing the course against this attack was only possible due to the divine blessings, the prayers of the nation and the unwavering courage of our forces,” he said.
When addressing the resurgence of terrorism in KP, the prime minister emphasized the need to recognize the value of soldiers who sacrifice their lives to protect millions.
He condemned the “poisonous narratives” on social networks aimed at the military, urging the nation to counteract such propaganda through logic and patriotism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the fair causes of Kashmir and Gaza, denouncing the “brutal rapes of high fire” and the martyrdom of 50,000 Muslims in Gaza.
He criticized the previous government for violating the IMF agreement, which damaged Pakistan’s reputation, and praised the efforts of current and previous coalition governments to stabilize the economy.
The prime minister promised to personally supervise the investments of the Pakistani abroad in Pakistan.
“I will be your CEO. My cabinet and our business community will ensure that their investments are protected and facilitated,” he assured them.
President OPF Syed Qamar Raza said that Prime Minister Shehbaz responded positively to 14 Key Pakistani demands abroad and formed a high -power committee under Deputy PM ISHAQ Dar.
He emphasized the important role of the diaspora, extended in 160 countries and confirmed that a mega convention abroad will be held annually every April.
Raza also recognized the support of Coas Munir in the organization of this year’s convention, which successfully summoned more than 1,200 participants abroad in the short term.
