Nueva Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two -day visit to the United States from February 12, where he will celebrate broad discussions with the president of the United States, Donald Trump, sources familiar with the subject confirmed on Monday PTI reported.
This will be Modi’s first bilateral visit to Washington since Trump assured a second mandate in the White House. His early visit underlines the strategic importance of Indo-American ties, since he will be among the first foreign leaders to meet Trump in person after the inauguration of the new administration.
The United States Journey of Prime Minister Modi will come immediately after his two -day visit to France, where he will attend the AI action summit from February 10 to 11 at the Grand Palais. The Summit, organized by the French government, will bring together global leaders, business executives, academics and civil society members to discuss advances and regulations in artificial intelligence, according to a statement by the Palace of Elysée.
While the official details of the American visit of Prime Minister Modi remain without revealing, discussions are expected to focus on trade, regional defense and security cooperation, particularly in the Indo-Pacific.
Trump officially swore as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. After its inauguration, Prime Minister Modi spoke with him on the phone on January 27, reaffirming his commitment to a “reliable” association, with emphasis on trade, energy, energy and defense collaboration.
India was represented at Trump’s swearing ceremony by the Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar, who also delivered a letter from Prime Minister Modi to the newly opened president of the United States.
