NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office on Saturday Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 in Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. National Bank of Agriculture and Rural development (NABARD) President Shaji KV congratulated the Prime Minister at the event.
Ahead of the inauguration of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the more prosperous our villages are, the greater their role will be in realizing the determination of a developed India.

The Grameen Bharat Mahotsav will be held from January 4 to 9 with the theme ‘Building a Resilient Rural India for a Viksit Bharat 2047’, according to a press release. The event was also attended by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Mahotsav, through various discussions, workshops and masterclasses, aims to improve rural infrastructure, create self-sufficient economies and encourage innovation within rural communities. Its objectives include promoting economic stability and financial security among rural populations, with special attention to Northeast Indiaheading financial inclusion and supporting sustainable agricultural practicesaccording to the statement.
An important objective of the Mahotsav will be to empower rural women through entrepreneurship; bring together government officials, opinion leaders, rural entrepreneurs, artisans and stakeholders from various sectors to build a roadmap for a collaborative and collective rural transformation; foster discussions on harnessing technology and innovative practices to improve rural livelihoods; and showcase India’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant performances and exhibitions, he added.
