The tone invasion incidents are common in Cricket and other sports worldwide when revoked fans enter the playing field to try to meet their favorite players in person.
During the game in Rawalpindi, a fanatic entered the field and tried to hug the New Zealand player Rachin Ravindra. He held a photograph of Tehreek-I-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi when he ran to the field.
“The PCB has taken serious note of the security violation that occurred yesterday when a spectator entered the field. Ensure the safety of players and officials remains our main priority, ”said the Board.
“As a responsible organization, we have committed ourselves to local security agencies, which have promised to increase security personnel around the playing field in all places and strengthen access control measures,” the statement said.
“The individual involved was arrested and presented before a court of justice today. In addition, it has been permanently forbidden to enter all Cricket places in Pakistan, ”he added.
“To avoid such incidents in the future, the PCB is working closely with security agencies and places of places to review and strengthen security protocols,” the statement concluded.
Talking with Sunrise After the game, Ravindra said he expected his team to now arise as the favorites of the crowd for the rest of the tournament after Pakistan was knocked out.
“The crowd has been quite good with us,” he said. “It’s great to have a good crowd every time we play the Cricket and definitely raise the atmosphere of each game.”
The fan was escorted off the field by service security officials shortly after entering the field.
The match continued with Ravindra hitting an excellent 112 to take New Zealand to the semifinals of Champions Trophy with a five Wickt victory over Bangladesh and, in turn, the dump house Pakistan out of the semifinal career.
