The International Airlines of Pakistan (PIA) announced on Saturday that would resume flights to the United Kingdom since October 25, with non -scales from Manchester to Islamabad.
This occurs a day after the High Commission of Pakistan in London announced that the national carrier would resume flight operations to the United Kingdom this month, since PIA received his permission to operate foreign airplanes from the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority and the approval of the third country’s operator, but did not give an exact date.
Pia announced his “historical return” to the British heavens with a publication about X Today, which said: “Wait has finally ended! Pakistan International Airlines proudly reconnect Manchester and Islamabad, bringing loved ones closer to love.”
In yesterday’s announcement, the high commission said that Manchester flight operations would resume during the first phase, after which Birmingham and London would do the same.
In July, the United Kingdom eliminated Pakistan from its air security list, allowing Pakistani airlines to request that it operate flights in Britain.
The development occurred after the United Kingdom’s Department of Transportation concluded an aviation security inspection at the Islamabad International Airport on Thursday, declaring Pakistan security agreements “satisfactory and in line with international standards.”
The national airline was forbidden to fly to the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States in June 2020, a month after one of its Airbus A-320 immersed itself in the Karachi model colony, killing almost 100 people.
The prohibition followed the base of 262 pilots whose licenses, then Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, described “doubtful.”
The prohibition of operating in Europe rose in November 2024.
