A Peshawar Child Protection Court sentenced a suspicious to death and life imprisonment for positions of rape and serial murder held in July 2022.
In 2022, the police arrested a man in Peshawar for charges of sexually assaulting three minor girls and killing two of them.
Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Inspector Moazzam Jah Ansari, had told journalists that 20 -year -old embroidery had confessed sexual assaults and murders. The suspect was declared a serial murderer by the police, who also said that he sexually assaulted the girls before killing them and abandoning the bodies.
In a press release today, the KP Police said that the “first serial killer and rapist in the province was sentenced to death and life imprisonment through excellent police investigation.”
“The suspect, involved in cases of rape and serial murder of July 2022, was sentenced to death five times by the Court of Child Protection,” the statement added.
KP IG Zulfiqar Hameed congratulated the team joint investigations and operations for carrying out an excellent and coordinated investigation, preparing a case based on digital, forensic tests and others and obtaining the accused by the courtyard, said the statement.
He also announced cash awards and certificates of recommendation to the team, he added.
The statement detailed the crimes of the suspect and said that the “tragic incidents of rape and murder of three innocent girls” in 2022, had created fear and panic in the area, and added that the case had remained unsolved for the police.
Operations of the former Police Superintendent (SSP) Kashif Aftab Abbasi and SSP Shahzada Kokab Farooq research had formed special equipment and investigations that included police officers, scientific experts and forensic experts, he said.
The statement added that the team had examined all aspects of cases, including call data records, geographical, coroners and digital material, such as 3,000 minutes of camera recordings, using traditional and non -traditional methods.
The team arrested the suspect based on the data, according to the statement, added that the sample of the suspect coincided with the samples found in the bodies of the victims, revealing that he was the “atrocious person who committed the atrocities.”
“The police presented the defendant in the Court after building a strong case that contains all the evidence, where the suspect confessed his atrocious crime before the court,” he said, added that the case was prosecuted by the attached prosecutor Arif Bilal.
“Police investigation plays a key role in the delivery of justice through the courts. In the face of indelible evidence, no defendant can escape the punishment,” said Ig Hameed in the statement.
This case was a testimony of the investigation skills of KP Police officers, he added.
Despite the presence of laws against violation, with punishment for violation, whether it results in the death penalty or imprisonment between 10 and 25 years, cases continue to prevail in the country.
Earlier this month, a prayer leader was reserved for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12 -year -old boy inside a mosque in the KP Charsadda district.
