Parade kicks off 113th Calgary Stampede

Calgary’s annual Stampede Stampede began on Friday when huge crowds gathered to see the stampede parade, led by the Country-Pop Canadian icon Shania Twain.

Calgary’s annual Stampede Stampede began on Friday when huge crowds gathered to enjoy Stampede’s parade, led by the Country-Pop Canadian icon Shania Twain.

“I am very happy to be here in Calgary,” Twain said, before riding on the parade route dressed in the western outfit and a white hat.

“It is a privilege to be the marshal of the parade. It has been a dream of mine for a long time.”

The 10 -day festival will run from July 4 to 13.

The Marshal singer and composer of the parade, Shania Twain, led this year’s parade through the center, marking the official start of the 113a Stampede de Calgary.
