An Israeli Jewish settler in the West Bank occupied a Palestinian-American-American adolescent was shot dead by an Israeli Jewish colonist in occupied West Bank, the Palestinian authorities said.

Palestinian officials identified the 14 -year -old as Omar Mohammed Rabea and said he was close to a settlement in Turmo Aya when the settler opened fire.

There have been acute increases in the violence of the settlers, the incursions, the attacks and the fire caused against the Palestinians and their properties in the territory since the Israel War began in Gaza. The Israeli army has also carried out a sustained assault on the territory in several cities and towns.

Rabea was shot together with two other teenagers for the colonist, said the mayor of the city, Adeb Lafi.

Palestinian officials condemned the shooting. “This is another example of the current violence of Israeli settlers against the Palestinians, with impunity,” said an official.

The victim’s family has not yet made a public statement, but they have expressed their pain for their loss.

The international criticism of the expansion of Israeli settlements and the violence of Jewish settlers have increased, which caused the condemnation of human rights groups worldwide.

Israeli forces have opened an investigation into the murder, but there have been no immediate comments from the authorities. The Army and Israeli settlers operate mostly without fear of judicial repercussions in the Palestinian areas.

There have been several cases of American citizens killed by Israelis in occupied West Bank.

In 2024, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old Turco-American activist, was shot in the head by an Israeli soldier while protested against illegal Israeli settlements, according to witnesses.

Shireen Abu Akleh, a Palestinian-American journalist from Al Jazeera, was also killed by the Israeli army in 2022 while reporting in occupied Bank, despite being clearly identified as a member of the press.
