A superior Pakistani delegation informed Monday to chosen members of the United Nations Security Council on the “threat to regional peace” raised by India’s actions in the middle of the recent increase in tensions between the two countries.
The high -level team, which consists of three former ministers of foreigners, two former secretaries of Foreign Affairs, two former ambassadors in the United States and a federal service minister, arrived yesterday in New York for consultations at the United Nations, he said today in a statement in a statement.
The delegation will also visit Washington DC, London and Brussels, said the fo.
Former PPP president of FMS, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Hina Rabbani Khar and Khurram Dastgir; Sherry Rehman, Musadik Malik, Faisal Sabzwari and Bushra Anjum Butt; and Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tehmina Janjua are members of the first delegation.
The PPP said in an X publication that the delegation met with chosen members of the UNSC “to expose the Indian propaganda” and present the position of Pakistan to representatives of Denmark, Greece, Panama, Somalia, Algeria, Guyana, Japan, South Korea, Salona and Slovenia.
“The orientation of India of urban areas and the suspension of the swing of the waters of the Indo are a threat to regional peace,” Bilawal told the representatives.
The statement said it refuted “Indian accusations without foundation” with arguments before the representatives, saying that “accusing Pakistan without any investigation or evidence is unacceptable.”
“The international community should not be limited to the resolution efforts after the conflict, but must find solutions prior to the conflict for lasting peace in southern Asia.
“Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression was measured, responsible and in accordance with the UN Charter,” representatives about the country’s response informed in the recent military escalation with India.
Other members of the delegation also informed the representatives of the CSNU that the suspension of the India of the Indo Water Treaty could lead to the shortage of water, the food crisis and environmental destruction in Pakistan.
The statement said the representatives appreciated the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan.
In a separate position, Bilawal said the two parties celebrated a “substantive exchange” in which the “Posture of principles and responsible for Pakistan was transmitted to the growing provocations of India.”
“He reaffirmed our permanent commitment to moderation, diplomacy, dialogue and an international order based on rules. He underlined the dangers of the Water weapon in India by rape [Indus Water Treaty] and resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council. Pakistan unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and remains a victim of terrorism, planned and sponsored from beyond our borders. We do not seek conflicts, but we are fully prepared to defend our territorial sovereignty and integrity. South Asia cannot afford another crisis. “
The delegation previously met with the United Nations envoy from China Fu Cong to discuss the regional security situation and Indian aggression.
Bilawal expressed his gratitude for China’s support during tensions with India and informed the Chinese official about Pakistan’s “responsible behavior” after Pahalgam’s attack.
“India rejected Pakistan’s offer for transparent and impartial investigation. The resolution of the Kashmir problem is essential for lasting peace in southern Asia,” Bilawal told the Chinese envoy and appealed to China to play his role in this regard according to UN resolutions.
“The international community has gone beyond the management of the crisis and towards the solutions. The suspension of the India of the Indo Water Treaty is equivalent to arms of arms,” Bilawal said.
The delegation also expressed serious concerns about the “guidance of India to Pakistani citizens.”
The two parties agreed to oppose unilateral actions and aggression and promised to restore peace in the region through multilateral cooperation. They also emphasized the need to respect the UN letter, international laws and agreements.
“He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the high fire, regional stability and a peaceful resolution according to the UN Charter. The international community must reject the dangerous ‘new normality’ of the aggression of India,” Bilawal said about the meeting with the Chinese official.
The group will meet with the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, president of the UN General Assembly and ambassadors of the five permanent members of the Security Council. It will also address a joint session of the organization of Islamic cooperation envoys.
In an X post, Bilawal said he had a “clear message” with him.
“Pakistan seeks peace with dignity, dialogue with the purpose and associations based on justice. The non -resolved issue of Kashmir Pakistan.
The delegation will begin its commitments on June 3, with meetings planned with the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, senior administration officials, legislators, Think-Tank analysts and leading media organizations.
Another delegation, directed by the special assistant of Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, will visit Moscow from June 2 to 4, according to the FO.
During the visit, Fatemi is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Russian officials and also interact with the media and thoughts.
“The visits of these delegations aim to project Pakistan’s perspective on the recent Indian aggression,” said Fo’s statement.
“The delegations will highlight the responsible and restricted behavior of Pakistan, seeking peace with responsibility, in the face of the reckless and belligerent actions of India in violation of international law.”
Delegations will also highlight that “dialogue and diplomacy should have priority over conflict and confrontation.”
The statement said that delegations will underline the importance of the international community to play its due role in promoting a lasting peace in the region, including immediate resumption of the normal functioning of the Indo Water Treaty.
“The delegations will participate in a series of meetings with the leadership of international organizations, holders of public office, senior officials, parliamentarians, Think Tanks, media and diaspora,” said the FO.
‘Strategic importance and not mere opportunities to take photos’
Separately, Senator Sherry Rehman said that the delegation led by the president of the PPP has already begun his visit to the United States with a “schedule full of high -level multilateral meetings in New York.”
In a statement, Rehman emphasized that meetings will be strategic and will not be “mere opportunities to take photos.”
He added that the state of the country as “a responsible and stable power” is standing out during commitments, and that the country had a clear interest in “regional peace and security.”
“Adhesion to international laws is part of Pakistan’s foreign policy,” said Rehman, adding that the Indian narrative “manufactured” against the country “will not be able to take the form of the truth this time.”
“India has begun to use false terrorism accusations as justification for war. This trend cannot be allowed to become the norm,” he said, added that the country would not be part of any “Indian film script.”
The leader of the PPP said: “President Bilawal Bhutto has successfully presented Pakistan’s solid position on water, the Kashmir and the violations of the international laws of war and peace.
“Pakistan, as a responsible nuclear state, believes in a broad and fair dialogue based on peace,” he added.
