Pakistan established Ireland in an objective of 218 at the first international meeting of the CPI 2025 Women’s World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday.
The ICC six teams, which includes Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand and the Western Indies along with the Pakistan hosts, will have a round swirl format of a league with the games that take place at the Gaddafi de Lahore and LCCA Ground stadium from April 9 to 19.
The tournament will decide the two qualifiers for the 2025 World Cup, which will be held at the end of this year in India.
The hosts were removed in the penultimate entrance of the entries and could not capitalize on a decent start, being only three down for 153 in a stage of the party.
Aliya Riaz Top of Pakistan scored for the hosts, reaching 52 of only 58 deliveries in an entry in which it reached four limits and a six.
Sidra Amin was the other average centrilla for Pakistan, obtaining its 50 of 110 balls and scoring three limits in the process.
For Ireland, Jane Maguire was the choice of bowling players, obtaining three Wickts while giving only 33 races in their 10 overs quota. His scalp included Gull Feroza, Muneba Ali and the goalkeeper of the Wicket Sidra Nawaz.
Gull is making his debut in this game, since he has appeared in T20 International for Pakistan.
Both teams are almost equal in force with the tenth and eleventh classification in the ICC table, respectively. The Western Indies, Bangladesh, Scotland and Thailand are the other teams participating in the event.
In the hate record, Pakistan has had a clear advantage over Ireland, winning 15 while losing six.
Interestingly, Irish women from 1997 to 2003 won the six hate against their counterparts from Pakistan, while a game was abandoned. From 2008 to date, however, Pakistan has had an immaculate history against them. It was here in Lahore, where both teams met the last time in a bilateral series of three games in 2022 when the hosts comfortably swept the series.
