Pakistan won the toss and elected to take part in the series-deciding Twenty20 International against South Africa at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.
The series is tied 1-1 after Pakistan’s emphatic victory in the second match on Friday, where the home pacers ran amok and bowled the visitors for 110.
Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf dismantled South Africa’s lineup before Saim Ayub scored a breezy half-century as Pakistan raced towards the target.
Friday’s victory came after the Proteas defeated Pakistan in the series opener by 55 runs.
Pakistan made two comparable changes to the team with pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi replacing Naseem Shah, while spinner Usman Tariq debuted in place of Abrar Ahmed.
