Pakistan has expressed concern about the “worst forms of torture” to the people of Palestine Kashmir and occupied by India is being subjected by foreign occupation powers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said Thursday.
There have been generalized reports of systematic torture and human rights violations by the Indian occupation forces in Jammu and Kashmir, since the region was unilaterally annexed in 2019. Pakistan continues to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmir until they carry out their inherited right to self-determination as the resolutions of the lack of choc.

“Pakistan remains seriously concerned about the generalized and systematic use of torture as an instrument of oppression in situations of foreign occupation,” FO declaration said on the occasion of International Day in support of victims of torture.
“The people of the occupied Palestinian territory and the illegally occupied Indians Jammu and Kashmira (Iiojk) continue to be subjected to the worst forms of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishments by the occupant powers to suppress their right to self -determination.”
Pakistan sympathizes with victims of torture worldwide and reaffirms their continuous commitment to eradicate torture and defend human dignity, he added.
“Islam defends the holiness and dignity of each human being. Any act of torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment is incompatible with the values of justice, mercy and compassion that are in the center of Islamic teachings.
“Guided by these values and their international obligations, Pakistan remains committed to eradicating the torture and strengthening of protections for all people,” the statement said.
He added that “legal reforms, institutional safeguards and supervision mechanisms continue to be strengthened by Pakistan to guarantee responsibility and defend the rule of law”, and added that “measures are also being taken to provide victims with medical, legal and psychobsocial support.”
Pakistan reiterates his call to the international community to condemn the crimes of these occupant powers and that they take responsibility, in addition to helping to put an end to the difficult situation of the victims of their torture and oppression, they concluded.
The UN General Assembly proclaimed June 26 as the International Day in support of torture victims. It marks the moment when in 1987 the UN Convention against torture and other cruel treatment or punishment, inhuman or degrading entered into force.
The day is an opportunity to resort to all interested parties, including the UN Member States, civil society and individuals to join in support of people around the world who have been victims of torture and those who are still tortured today.
