Pakistan beat India 3-0 on the Sub-16 Volleyball Championship championship semifinal of Asian Men Menicals held in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand.
“The male volleyball of the Pakistan U-16 team continues its dream career in the 2nd Sub-16 Asian Volleyball Championship 2025 in Thailand by defeating Indian Archirival in the semifinal,” announced the Pakistan Volleyball Association in an Instagram position.
Pakistan beat India with a clean sweep by winning three consecutive sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-12).
“The stellar performances of Junaid, Faizan, Irfan and Talha promoted the green shirts in the final and a step closer to glory,” said the association.
With this victory, Pakistan qualifies for the final, where they will face Iran on July 19 at 3:30 PM PKT.
On Wednesday, Pakistan said a place in the semifinals of the U-16 Asian Volleyball Championship and reserved his position in the FIVB U-17 World Championship next year after defeating Indonesia in Sets in the quarterfinals.
The national team had registered another 3-0 victory with established scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-20. The key contributions came from Junaid, Faizan, Talha and Saran, which were fundamental to maintaining the undefeated streak of Pakistan in the tournament.
“This victory is not just about reaching the semifinals; it is about demonstrating that Pakistan’s youth has the strength and ability to compete at the highest levels,” said Pakistan chief coach Kafiatullah. “The qualification for the FIVB U-17 World Championship is a moment of national pride.”
Previously in the group stage, Pakistan had surpassed South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Chinese Taipei to advance to the knockout round.
