A Pakistan Army major was martyred and seven terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the army’s media wing said on Thursday.
The development comes a day after the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said 11 security personnel, including a lieutenant colonel and a major, were martyred in an exchange of fire between the forces and banned terrorists Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in KP’s Orakzai district.
According to the ISPR statement issued today, security forces carried out the IBO on Wednesday in the reported presence of “kwarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij” in the Daraban area of DI Khan.
Fitna al Khwarij It is a term that the State uses to refer to terrorists belonging to the prohibited TTP.
During the operation, the ISPR said, seven “Indian-sponsored kwarij They were sent to hell” due to the effective commitment of the security forces troops.

The ISPR said arms and ammunition were found in the custody of the slain terrorists, who had been “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and law enforcement agencies as well as against [the] murder of innocent civilians.”
