The Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) were presented national honors for their air performance in the recent conflict against India as part of the 79th Day of Independence of Pakistan on Thursday.
In July, the planning minister, Ahsan Iqbal said that this year’s independence day would be marked as “Marka-I-Haq” (Battle of Truth). The term is used by the State for the conflict with India from the attack of the Pahalgama on April 22 to the end of the Bunyanum Marsoos operation with a high fire on May 10.
May’s conflict was caused when New Delhi blamed Islamabad for the attack without evidence, a claim strongly refuted by Pakistan. From May 6 to 7, New Delhi launched air attacks that killed civilians. In retaliation, PAF demolished six Indian airplanes in Aire-Aire combat on May 7. The general general general in India has also recognized that his forces suffered losses in the air, but denied having lost six planes.
While describing Pakistan’s response to the Air Force of India, the general director of PAF, the vicisumns of air relations of the air, Aurengzeb Ahmed, said May 12, the response of the PAF was based “on time and the place of election”, showing “bold, aggressive and unwavering resolution of the brave military leadership.”
Last month, Lieutenant General of the Chinese Air Force, Wang Gang, praised the “exemplary performance” during air clash, praising the “decisive response and measure delivered by PAF pilots under the resolved leadership of the air chief.”
In a ceremony in Islamabad today, the awards, including the honors of war and peace times, were conferred by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

During the conflict, Pakistan said he knocked down five Indian aircraft in Aire-Aire combat on May 7, including the advanced advanced ones of Dassault Rafale’s combat aircraft, then checking that figure to six. India’s greatest general general also acknowledged that his forces suffered losses in the air, but denied having lost six planes.
Last week, in response to the statements that India had demolished the Pakistani aircraft, the Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, said that “not a single Pakistani plane was beaten or destroyed” by India, and added that Pakistan took out six Indian jets, the S400 air defense batteries and the non -handled aircraft of the India, while ” Indian air bases of the action “.
