Pakistan and Iran, earlier this month, agreed that peace and prosperity in their border regions depended on effectively fighting terrorism. A statement issued by the Iranian embassy said that the Munir Marshal and General Mousavi, the head of the Iranian armed forces cabinet, had a telephone conversation today.
“The two parts are ready to eradicate terrorism to ensure common borders,” he said.

“The Munir Marshal expressed his gratitude for the sympathy of Mousavi by the Pakistani nation and expressed his condolences for the families of the victims of the recent terrorist attack in the province of Iran and Balucostan.”
General Mosavi also expressed his sympathy with the victims affected by floods in Pakistan, saying that “they would proudly provide any assistance within their power to the beloved brothers in Pakistan.”
In addition, he expressed his satisfaction with bilateral ties, saying that both countries were interacting and cooperating at several levels, particularly praising the position and support of Pakistan to Iran during the 12 -day war with Israel.
During his visit at the beginning of this month, Iranian President Masoud fish had said that the development of economic and commercial ties would be achieved through peace, stability and tranquility.
“Given the threats of terrorist groups in border areas, both parties emphasized the need to increase cooperation to guarantee border security and safeguard the peace and well -being of citizens in border cities,” added the Iranian president.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had recognized that security was essential for progress in bilateral relations. “There will be zero tolerance for all forms of terrorism. If someone is a victim of terrorism in Iran, it is the same as someone who is affected by terrorism in Pakistan,” he said.
“For peace and development in our region, already throughout our shared border hundreds of kilometers long, we must cooperate against terrorism and take effective measures to eliminate the scourge of terrorism once and for all,” added the prime minister.
Although the two leaders expressed their commitment to deepen cooperation, according to reports, the specific operational details were discussed at the meeting of President Pezeshkian with the Munir Field Marshal.
