Pak-Afghan talks failed to bring about workable solution, says information minister

Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar said earlier Wednesday that the latest round of talks between Islamabad and Kabul in Istanbul “failed to achieve any viable solution.”

He made the comments in a post on social media platform [militant] organizations and terrorists.

“Pakistan provided sufficient and irrefutable evidence, which was acknowledged by the Afghan Taliban and the hosts; however, unfortunately, the Afghan side did not give any guarantee,” the minister said.

“The Afghan side continued to deviate from the core issue, evading the key point on which the dialogue process was initiated. Instead of accepting any responsibility, the Afghan Taliban resorted to blame games, diversions and tricks. Therefore, the dialogue failed to achieve any viable solution,” he said.
