A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), with the advanced advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III Fighter Jets and C-130 Hercules Transport Aircraft, reached the base of the Royal Air Force of Fairford in the United Kingdom to participate in the Royal International Air Tattoo (Riat) 2025, a statement of the media of the military Thursday.
Riat, which will run from July 18 to 20, is one of the largest military shows in the world, has been operating for more than 50 years and drives the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, according to its website.
“PAF’s participation in Riat, one of the world’s largest military outbreaks, underlines the commitment of the Pakistan Air Force to show its professional excellence, the operational capacity and indigenous force of its aviation industry,” said a statement from public relations between services (ISPR).
In addition to the operational importance of this international deployment, the JF-17 combatants Thunder Block-III of the Pakistan Air Force executed successful air resupply operations of air fuel in the United Kingdom with the support of an air resupply oil tanker PAF IL-78
“The intricate fuel refueling operation demonstrated the long -range operational capacities of PAF and the competence of its air and land crew in carrying out extended operations beyond national borders.
“JF-17 Block-III is an EASA radar and a multirrector combat plane of 4.5 generations equipped with long-range BVR that is capable of carrying out a wide variety of combat missions, reinforcing the application of air power against contemporary challenges, thus strengthening national security,” the statement added.
In May, when Pakistan knocked down 5 Indian airplanes as reprisals for night attacks during the Pakistan-India conflict, the PAF formally recognized a month after it was Squadron 15 based in Kamra that led the position to demolish the jets.
The event is now considered one of the largest Air-Aire-Aire commitments in southern Asia in more than half a century.
“There is a palpable sensation of enthusiasm throughout the United Kingdom after the recent Pakistan-Indian conflict, since aviation enthusiasts and defense observers anxiously waited for the arrival of the JF-17 Thunder Block-III of the Pakistan Air Force,” the statement said.
“The capacities and operational excellence of the plane have attracted significant global attention, which makes its appearance in Riat a highly anticipated point in the aerospace and defense community.”
