Jammu: Affirm that this is a humanitarian and not only financial problem, Jammu and Kashmir’s prime minister, Omar Abdullah, on Tuesday announced a committee under the main secretary, Atal DulTOO, to design a roadmap for the regularization of daily bets and present a report with six months.
After some members talked about the difficult situation of daily bets, the CM stressed that this is not simply a financial problem but a humanitarian and social concern. Highlighting the opposition, he questioned his inaction, stating: “What did you do? I checked previous budget speeches of his mandate and found no mention of daily bets, except in the fourth budget, where he spoke vaguely about the ‘sustainable support’. “
When addressing criticism that his budget speech is pessimistic, Omar said he was, in fact, realistic.
“Cut your coat according to your fabric,” he said, speaking for the need to handle within the available resources. “My words are not pessimistic; They are realistic. I presented the truth. We do not have enough money, but we have prioritized the well -being measures that will have a significant impact on people, ”he said.
He acknowledged that the budget would not produce instant results, but assured that long -term growth has been launched.
When addressing the interpretation of his budget speech, Omar said: “My budget speech is a love letter: for the BJP, the PC, the PDP, the AIP, to Congress, to the CPI (M), to MLA independent and, above all, to the people of Jammu & Kashmir.”
