Edmonton, Alberta-Leon Draisaitl scored in the power game in extra time, Stuart Skinner made 29 salvados and the Edmonton Oilers erased a multigure deficit to overcome defending champion Florida Panthers 4-3 in game 1 of the final memory of Stanley Cup on Wednesday night.
After the penalty of Tomas Karyk for putting the album on the glass, Draisaitl’s goal 19:29 in OT sent local fans to a frenzy and made sure that the oilers did not start this series as they did a year ago, when three games were left behind.
A Canadian -based NHL club has not spoke the famous Lord Stanley chalice since 1993.
For a while, it seemed that the Oilers would at least begin the series. The goal of Draisaitl 66 seconds was later followed in the first period by Sam Bennett diverting a shot in the past Stuart Skinner after falling into him.

Edmonton Kris Knoblauch challenged unsuccessfully for the goalkeeper’s interference, with the NHL room failure that his own player, Jake Walman, stumbled upon Bennett in Skinner. The resulting penalty paved the way for Brad Marchand de Florida to score the goal in the power game.
Bennett scoring his second of the early night in the second period put the Panthers 3-1. 31-0 entered in the last three playoffs since coach Paul Maurice took over when he led the first or second intermediate.
With Connor McDavid leading the way, the oilers recovered. Viktor fourth, Arvidsson, returned the life of the crowd at the beginning of the second, and its Sweden Mattias Ekholm, playing only his second game of an extensive absence of injuries, tied it with 13:27 remaining in the regulation of a perfect pass of McDavid.
At the other extreme, Skinner made a handful of salvages that were vital to prevent the panthers from extending their lead or binding it at the end of the third. Florida’s counterpart, Sergei Bobrovsky, did the same, among the mocking songs of “Sergei! Sergei!” That followed the objectives that allowed.
Skinner was received with more friendly songs of “Stuuuu” after the salvages, including one in the first minute of extra time in an opportunity of quality score. Bobrovsky Stone-Rold stole Trent Frederic nine minutes but finally broke.
