An assistant sub -inspector (like) was killed in a traffic accident after unidentified men opened fire in their vehicle in the Nowhera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said Wednesday.

“As soon as he reached the Army farm area near Nowshera, [the attackers] He shot without mercy, “said Sho. Khattak added that he died instantly in the scene.
The sho said that the body was transferred to a nearby hospital for legal actions, although panic had spread in the area after the incident.
“It is not yet clear if the incident was a terrorist incident or an attempted robbery,” he said, adding that an investigation was being carried out and a search operation had been launched in the area to detain the suspects.
Funeral sentences were offered for the deceased police in Nowshera, according to a publication on the police page.
According to the post, a large number of police personnel, officials of the District Administration, military personnel and local dignitaries attended.
“After the funeral sentences, the body of the martyred officer was sent to his native Kheshgi Payan area,” said the post. “He will be buried there with all official honors.”
He was later buried in his town after funeral procedures.
Earlier this week, the attacks on the police stations in the districts of Lakki Marwat and Peshawar of KP were repelled, and the authorities confirmed on Monday an attack of Granada against the Malazai area of Peshawar and an attack against the Gambila police station in Lakki Marwat carried out up to 16 attackers.
