Rome: The billionaire presidential advisor of the United States, Elon Musk, said on Saturday that he expected Europe and the United States to accept to join a free trade zone, after the American leader Donald Trump unleashed strong global trade tariffs.
Musk, a Trump advisor who has been working to eliminate the public spending of the waste of waste, spoke through a video link in a congress in the right -wing league party and coincidence of the right of Florence of Italy.
Trump’s radical tariffs announced earlier this week sent global actions, concerned with the allies and raised the possibility that others, including the European Union, increase the tariffs. The EU, which faces a 20 percent rate, has already promised to retaliate “a quiet, carefully unified form,” said EU Chief of Commerce Maros Sefcovic.

“I hope that the United States and Europe can establish a very close association,” Musk said in a video address to a meeting of the Italian right -wing party La Liga.
“I hope it is remembered that both Europe and the United States should move ideally, in my opinion, to a zero rate situation, effectively creating a free trade zone between Europe and North America,” he added in the video, he published on the Musk X social media platform by the League leader, the Vice Prime Minister Matteo Salvini.
Interviewed by the leader of the Matteo Salvini League, Musk, who has repeatedly expressed his support for right -wing parties throughout Europe, said he also hoped to see greater freedom of movement between Europe and the United States. “That has certainly been my advice to the president,” he added. But he reiterated his sentence for what he saw as mass immigration.
Both groups have a hard right -wing agenda based on law and order, tax cuts and energetic measures against irregular immigration. “At the end of the day, I hope it is remembered that both Europe and the United States should move ideally, in my opinion, to a situation of zero tariffs, effectively creating a free trade zone between Europe and North America,” Musk said.
“If people want to work in Europe or wish to work in North America, they should be allowed to do so in my opinion,” Musk said, adding that “it certainly has been my advice to the president.”
Musk, who has been close in the past of the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and his party of the Brothers of Italy, has also expressed support to the Salvini League.
