Lando Norris cut McLaren’s leadership, Oscar Piastri, in the World Pollenity Championship only nine points on Sunday when he changed tactics to take him home in just 0.698 seconds in an exciting end in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Briton, 25, who went from a strategy of two stops to a stop, arrested the leader of the Piasstri series, in cooler tires, for the final turns of a strategic contest to claim the 200th victory of McLaren and his 13th record victory in Hungary.
It was Norris’s first victory in Hungaroring in race number 40 of the event, avenging his defeat of ‘Team order’ in 2024 when Piasstri claimed his inaugural success, his fifth victory of the season and the novena of his career.
McLaren’s dominant couple finished 22 seconds from George Russell de Mercedes in third place, with the Poleitter Charles Leclerc de Ferrari Cuarto, complains to the poor planning of the Italian team after leaving the main position.
“I didn’t plan to make a single,” said Norris. “But it was the only option to return to things and it was difficult. Oscar was pressing all the way.”
Piastri said he had done everything possible to succeed. “It was a great career,” he said. “Lando did a great job.”
His impulse brought McLaren his fourth consecutive final 1-2.
The two -time champion Fernando Alonso arrived at Casa Quinto for Aston Martin ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto de Sauber, Lance Pastor in the second Aston Martin, the rookie Liam Lawson of Racing Bulls and frustrated four times the Max Verstappen champion of Red Bull.
Mercedes’s rookie, Kimi Antonelli, was 10th ahead of Isack Hadjar de Racing Bulls with the seven -time Lewis Hamilton 12 champion in the second Ferrari, 24 hours after declaring himself without pursuing his career seat.

Classic scrap
The track temperature was only 31 degrees, encouraging the thoughts of a unique race as the use of Tyre and Leclerc decreased controlled the rhythm ahead of Piastri, Russell and Norris.
Piastri faced Tour 18, looking for a cut. He returned in fifth when Leclerc responded to stay at the forefront.
Norris inherited the leadership and had an advantage of 10 seconds, since the Monegasco recovered second, with third piastri.
Then he chose to stay out until he faced, in only 1.9 seconds, for the hard ones in Tour 31, join the room and face a long career home.
In the front, Leclerc responded to an apparent called ‘Bluff’ of McLaren and faced, falling to the room and gave Piastri the leader before a fast Norris when the race was dissolved in a strategy and a Tyre management contest between the two McLarens.
Norris delighted with his unique delayed tactic when Piastri made a second well in Tour 45, the British led with a Ferrari in second place, Leclerc blaming his team for hitting his plan before being approved by Piasstri around the turn one in return 51.
This left Norris, in aged tires, taking his teammate in a classic scrap to the flag, negotiating traffic and separated by half second over the final laps. On Tour 68, the Australian was close to going on Tour one and Tour 69, he locked himself.
“Remember how we are going to run,” reminded him of Piastri, Tom Stallard. For Leclerc, he soon left a distant third for the two McLarens, was another wasted pole: the 15th time he could not turn the pole into a victory into 16 attempts, and worsened when Russell, after two attempts, passed it on Tour 63.
