‘Non-biological’ PM is rediscovering that he is human after all: Congress

NEW DELHI: Taking advantage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that he is “human, not God”, the Congress said the BJP mascot is trying to do damage control as just eight months ago he had proclaimed his “non-biological status “. The opposition party continued to mock the prime minister, saying that his “humane” management has led the country’s economy to a slowdown and at serious risk, with a “lack of trust” among foreign investors.
Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said: “While the non-biological prime minister is rediscovering that he is a human being after all, foreign investors in our stock markets have ushered in 2025 by taking out $2 billion alone. in the last six days.”
Ramesh said the outflow of foreign money from stock markets shows the growing impact of weak macroeconomic fundamentals such as stagnant wages, faltering private investment and slowing consumption growth.
Ramesh added that the exits also reflect the “lack of investor confidence” in India’s financial markets following revelations about the SEBI chairman’s conflict of interest. Congress said India has declined as a foreign investment destination compared to other countries, including Vietnam and Malaysia. He said the continued decline in the value of the rupee against the dollar is increasing currency risk.
