Police say there are no survivors after a plane crashed Thursday southwest of Nanaimo, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island.
Nanaimo RCMP did not confirm the type of plane involved or how many people were on board.
In a news release, they said they responded to reports of a plane crash in a wooded area near Twilight Way, located outside of Nanaimo, around 3 a.m. PT on Thursday.
Police say the plane was found in a large debris field.
Officers are at the scene investigating.
