On Tuesday there was no loss of lives after an explosion on a road near a Levies control point in the city of Malakand in the city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Blockhela, the authorities said.
Malakand Commissioner Additional (ADC) Muhibullah said an explosion occurred, but confirmed that “there was no loss of lives.”
“According to preliminary research, no explosives of any kind were used in the explosion,” he said.
ADC Muhibullah added: “The explosion was not dangerous and there was no fear or threat in the area.”
According to officials, a probe is being carried out to determine if the explosion occurred due to an improvised explosive device (FDI), due to gas leakage or some other reason.
The explosion occurs in the midst of a deteriorated security situation in the province, and security officials are often attacked. The attacks particularly intensified after the forbidden Pakistan of Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP) broke a high fire agreement with the government in November 2022.

According to the report, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan remained the most affected provinces, with at least 206 people killed in KP, including 49 security personnel, 34 civilians and 123 militants. Meanwhile, 115 injuries were reported, including 63 security personnel and 49 civilians.
Within the province, the Continental KP registered 124 deaths, 32 civilians, 30 security personnel and 62 militants, while 65 people were injured. The tribal districts, previously Fata, saw 82 deaths, including 19 security personnel, two civilians and 61 militants.
