With the fifth anniversary of the death of George Floyd, Congress has not yet approved legislation to reform or abolish qualified immunity. The Supreme Court has refused to occupy multiple cases that defy the doctrine. Lawrence Hurley of NBC News informs about the renewed efforts at the state level to stop the qualified immunity.
