Nine judicial officers terminated for misconduct, corruption – Newspaper

Peshawar: The president of the Superior Court of Peshawar, SM Attique Shah, has dismissed nine judicial officers, who were restored earlier this year, since they were declared guilty of “misconduct, corruption and inefficiency” in a new investigation against them.

Dispunished judicial officers include four district judges and additional sessions Malik Amjid Rahim, Manzoor Qadir, Qaiser Rahim and Mrs. Riffat Aamir; Four high -ranking civil judges called Safeer Qaiser Malik, Adil Akbar Khan, Rashid Rauf Swati and Shah Hussain, and a civil judge Tasawar Hussain.

The Superior Court had initiated disciplinary procedures under the rules of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government (efficiency and discipline), 2011 for charges of misconduct, corruption and inefficiency against said officers, according to a press release issued here on Friday.

The investigation into the charges was carried out by a PHC judge, who considered that the officers blame and recommended the imposition of a large penalty.

“Upon receiving the investigation report, the president of the Supreme Court, being the competent authority, issued final notices of display cause and gave each officer a personal hearing opportunity,” said the statement.

“After listening to the accused officers, the president of the Supreme Court found them guilty of the charges and imposed the greatest fine of dismissal of the service,” he concluded.

Look at a mention here that these officers were reincorporated in April of this year after eight years of their removal of the service orders, which were annulled last year by the Court of the Subordinate Judicial Service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Superior Court issued a notification for its restitution by the Superior Court that indicates that, in compliance with the judgment of the Subordinate Judicial Service Court, on July 26, 2024, and the recommendations of the Administration Committee of the Superior Court granted at a meeting on April 8, 2025, the competent authority (Justice) had reinstalled the judicial officers.

However, the notification provided that its restoration was without any benefit and would be subject to the result of Novo’s investigation procedures against him, as well as the pending appeals presented by the Superior Court before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

While ending his services along with two other judicial officials in April 2017, the Superior Court had announced that these judges had violated the disciplinary law.

At that time, the president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Yahya Afridi was the president of the Superior Court.

The Superior Court had declared that after these judicial officials were declared guilty, the president of the Supreme Court with the concurrence of the Administration Committee had imposed the greatest fine of the service removal.

Last year, the Service Court ordered the restitution of 11 judicial officers, including the nine current officers and a district judge and sessions, Sardar Mohammad Irshad and an additional district and sessions judge, Abdul Hakeem Hashmi.

However, as Sardar Irshad had reached the era of retirement and Abdul Hakeem had died, therefore, their names were not included in the notification of reinstatement.

These judicial officers had sustained before the court that simply about the accusations about their general reputation, social contacts and conduct could not be eliminated from the service.

A complete judicial meeting of the Judges of the Superior Court of Peshawar was held here on Friday under the presidency of the president of the President of Justice SM Attique Shah.

The president of the Supreme Court expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the Judicial Power of the District, recognizing both the quality and the amount of its production, as well as its sense of duty and commitment.

He also appreciated the constructive role of the bar as a integral partner in the administration of justice.

He also recognized the contribution of the Court personnel, and said that the people found who enjoy negligence would soon be treated firmly.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution that the new judicial year would mark the beginning of major achievements and the continuous success for the institution.
