On Wednesday night, a total of nine dumperadores and oil tankers were burned in angry mobs in Karachi, near the main road, which led Chowrangi 4 k after a heavy vehicle hit a bicycle rider, wounding it in the area of northern Karachi.
The city has recently witnessed an increase in traffic accidents, especially involving water dumpeters and oil tankers, who killed almost 500 people and injured 4,879 in 2024, according to hospital data. The incidents caused protests for the deaths of citizens, after which the provincial government prohibited the movement of heavy vehicles during the day in Karachi, while ordering them to obtain a physical conditioning certificate of vehicles.
In a statement issued today, the Edhi Foundation said a Dumper hit a bicycle rider, namely, Dayan Adil, 22, who suffered “minor injuries” on a road that links the house of the ChowRangi power with Mor. Subsequently, an enraged mafia burned several Dumpers.
The inspector general of the Karachi Police (DIG) Pir Mohammed Shah said Dawn.com That an accident took place in northern Karachi last night in which a young man suffered bruises.
He said that the false rumors extended that they claimed that a woman was also killed by a Dumper, which resulted in five dumperadores and four cervaters of water.

He said they have confirmed reports of eight dumpers and oil tankers on the main road that leads to Chowrangi 4-K.
The police made raids and arrested 19 suspects with the help of Images of CCTV, said Dig Baloch, added that they have been reserved under terror and other positions.
Rescue spokesman 1122, Hassaan Khan Dawn.com who received a call at 12:43 am and the person he called informed his control room that a Dumper had been burned in northern Karachi after he hit a bicycle rider in Nagan Chowrangi.

Khan said that a total of 10 dumpeters and water tankers were burned in different areas of northern Karachi in three hours, adding that heavy vehicles were seriously damaged in the fire.
The spokesman of the Central Police, in a statement, said that after the torch of the Dumpers in Power House, the police contingents rushed to the place, but the criminals managed to escape.
The Central Police Superintendent of Police Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi ordered repression against criminals.
As a result, the police made raids in different areas, arrested 19 suspects with the help of CCTV images, mobile phone videos and other sources.
All retention suspects have been reserved under terrorist positions, and five separate information (FIR) reports have been recorded in Sir Syed, Bilal Colony, New Karachi and Khwaja Ajmer Nagri.
Sindh’s Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah ordered the police and the Karachi transport authorities on Tuesday to perform random drug tests on heavy vehicle drivers to ensure safe and responsible driving.
The Sindh government has also made it mandatory that all heavy vehicles in Karachi have a physical conditioning certificate amid the growing number of traffic accidents that involve Dumper trucks.
Rights activists and civil society members have said that the growing number of fatal traffic accidents in the city and the poor state of the application of the traffic law are human rights violations, that the State has not been able to safeguard.

The driver of the Sindh, Uzairulla Solid Waste Management Board presented a FIR at the Colony Bilal Police Station.
He said that he, along with another driver of a private dumper, Sabih Sher Bahadur, was on his way when they arrived at the power house near Power House at 12:15 am, where they saw a great meeting of people and a Dumper in flames, forcing them to stop.
After they left their vehicles, unidentified people, for unknown reasons, set fire to their Dumpers, forcing them to flee and save their lives.
The plaintiff, in the FIR, invoked sections 147, 148, 149 and 435 of the Pakistan Criminal Code and article 7 of the Anti -Terrorist Law.
Another signed in New Karachi, the plaintiff, Salahuddin, said he is a driver of a Dumper and worked with Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
He was returning after throwing Jam Chakro in the city of Armjani when an armed mafia with sticks and stones made his way near the Chowrangi power house, fighting stones and forcing him to flee for his life. Consequently, the Dumper was burned by the mafia.
According to the third signed in New Karachi, the plaintiff, Ghulam Shabbir, said it was a Babbageman for the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board.

In the signed room registered in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, the plaintiff Habibullah said that he is the owner of a water oil tanker and supplied water to a factory.

In the fifth signed registered at the Sir Syed Police Station, Dumper’s driver, Nizamuddin, said around 15 people traveling in a car and three motorcycles intercepted him on the main road near Mor. He said they assaulted the driver and broke the steps of the Dumper window. However, he accelerated the Dumper from there in an effort to save himself and the vehicle of being burned.
Meanwhile, Dumper’s operators threw garbage in the main supercorya near Sohrab Goth as protest, said Sohrab Goth Goth, Sohail Khaskheli.
He said that both roads were blocked for traffic, adding that they managed to eliminate the debris and clear the road at 3:30 am
The East Police spokesman in a statement said the road remained closed for an hour, and the police persuaded Dumper’s drivers to finish their protest through the negotiations.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister, Sindh Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesoori, realized the acts of fires caused.
Separately, Sharafi Goth Sho Sadaruddin Mirani said the reckless driving became another young man’s life in Sharafi Goth last night.
Sho Mirani said the victim was riding the bicycle when a trailer killed him near Murtaza Chowrangim, adding that the wandering driver was arrested and the heavy vehicle confiscated.
The body was transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for legal formalities. He said the police are waiting for relatives to house a FIR to initiate formal legal procedures.
