Niagara police have made another arrest in the investigation into the murder of a 38-year-old man found dead near a rural road in Port Colborne, Ont., last summer.
The victim, Daniel Sanvido, was located in the area of Forkes Road and Highway 140 on the afternoon of August 24.
The next day, police classified the incident as a homicide but did not provide a cause of death.
On Saturday, police say they arrested Jacob Cudney, 47, and charged him with first-degree murder. The charge has not been proven in court.
This is the second arrest this week in connection with the homicide. Niagara police arrested Jade Hayward, 36, on Friday and charged her with first-degree murder.
Another suspect, Richard Stevens, 47, remains at large. Police say he is considered “armed and dangerous” and that members of the public should not approach him if they see him. Police encourage Stevens to contact an attorney and turn himself in to authorities.
Detectives ask anyone with information to contact them at 905-688-4111 or Crime Stoppers, anonymously.
