The president of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, will play a role in resolving Baluchistan’s problems, the head of the National Party, Abdul Malik Baloch, said on Wednesday as a protest for the National Party of Baluchistan, Mengal (BNP-M) marked his day 13.
The former Baluchistan principal minister made the statement in a talk in the media after a meeting between the two in the middle of the tense security situation in the province, with several high profile attacks in the last two months. Night trips have been banned throughout Baluchistan due to security deterioration, while three universities have closed due to “security concerns.”
In addition, protest movements have exploded throughout the province, with a great ongoing sitting in Lakpass directed by the BNP-M that protests an offensive against Baloch’s rights activists.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Baloch said: “Mian Sahib He is one of the most important politicians in the country and we have a relationship with him. We have asked him to play a role and he agreed to play a role in resolving Baluchistan’s problems, whether political or economic. “
The former CM said that the people of Baluchistan had put their hopes in Nawaz and his team to help solve the crisis ongoing.
“Baluchistan has been bleeding for two decades,” said Baloch. “His role is essential to improve the situation in Baluchistan. The people of Baluchistan expect Nawaz Sharif to play a positive role in relief of economic and political problems.”
Mentioning the sitting of BNP-M and the arrest of Baloch’s rights activists, Baloch said that he and Nawaz had a detailed discussion about the situation in the province.
“We request that it travel to Baluchistan and spend a few days there, meeting with political leaders, so that we can solve this problem in a friendly way as we did in 2013,” Baloch added.
When expressing their gratitude to the leaders of Nawaz and Senior PML-N for welcoming the delegation, Baloch reiterated that the role of PML-N president was essential to resolve the crisis and asked him to play a role in ensuring the release of Baloch activists from jail.
He expressed the hope that the people of Baloch would not “live in isolation, but to join the people of Pakistan to solve these problems.”
In response to a question about the nature of the crisis, the old CM replied: “This is a political problem that requires a political solution.”
The PML-N loaded a photograph of the meeting of two figures, stating that “a detailed discussion was held on the general national situation and the issues related to Baluchistan.”
During the meeting, Baloch congratulated the former prime minister for the work of his party to stop inflation and reduce electricity prices.
BNP-M sit-in Marks 13th Day
Meanwhile, the continuous seated of BNP-M against the arrest of Baloch activists, led by the head of the Sardar Akhtar Mengal party, marked its 13th.
Former Sanoullah Baloch Senator told him Dawn.com That the long march had stopped in the Mastung area of Lakpass, which led them to organize the sitting.
“Mengal had three meetings with Mir Zahoor Buledi, Bakht Kakar, Mir Obaid Gurgej and other officials in the Government Committee,” said Baloch. “The former president of the Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani, also had three meetings with Mengal, while the provincial education minister, Raheela Hameed Durrani, and Vice President Ghazala Gola met him once.”
When heading to the sitting, Mengal said that the negotiations with the government failed and that bringing ministers to meet with him was “useless.”
“Our sitting continues since the government has not advanced,” he said. “Despite the contact with the central leadership of the PML-N and the federal government, progress has not yet been made and the former president of Senate Sadiq Sanjrani came to his personal capacity, did not talk about finishing the sitting.”
Mengal commented that this was “the first government in the world that has affected people when closing roads”, added that protesters did not bloc any important artery in the last 13 days.
“The government has closed the Queta-Karachi National Highway during the last 13 days to stop the long march,” he said. “Due to closing, the business community and travelers face important difficulties.”
