Federal and provincial governments had made special arrangements to ensure peaceful observance and without problems of the occasion, with security and facilitation measures for devotees.
Religious leaders, academics and government representatives at the 50th Seerat-Un-Nabi International Conference also emphasized the need for responsible use of social networks in line with Islamic teachings, while reaffirming the solidarity of Pakistan with the people of Palestine and busy Kashmir.

In his message for the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked the nation to renew his commitment to build Pakistan in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet’s life, emphasizing unity, justice, compassion and peace.
He pointed out that this year, Pakistan and Muslims around the world celebrated 1,500 anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
“This historical milestone is being observed according to the resolutions approved by both the National Assembly and the Senate, which reflects a national collective resolution of making the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) an integral part of the Constitution, the legal framework and public life of the country,” he added.
“The life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a complete and comprehensive model for all aspects of the governance of life, justice, economy, trade and social values,” said Prime Minister.
He stressed that youth should be taught to embrace the eternal values of morality, kindness and truth, as taught by the Holy Prophet and become ambassadors of his message of love, peace and brotherhood.
Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that Pakistan’s true strength was in unity, tolerance and inclusion.
“To overcome the challenges facing our nation, whether economic or social, we must integrate the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in our national character,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also asked to reject all forms of prejudice, sectarianism, extremism and hate, and instead promote empathy, solidarity and harmony among all citizens.
The prime minister urged all Pakistani to reaffirm his promise to establish Pakistan as a true state of Islamic well -being based on the compassion, social justice and equality model of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that government’s central priorities include eradicating poverty, promoting education and research, and guaranteeing equal opportunities for all.
Similarly, President Asif Ali Zardari greeted the entire nation and the Muslim world on the day of 1212 Rabiul Awwal and urged people to commit to mold individual and collective lives according to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

When addressing the current problems derived from the effects of climate change, he said that the Government, the local administration and aid organizations were making joint efforts to guarantee the safety and rehabilitation of those affected as soon as possible.
“This is the time when we learn from the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh), we should help our people with open hearts and guarantee their rehabilitation as soon as possible, because the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) also fought for the well -being of others in each situation,” he added.
