The Montañero Naila Kiani on Friday Cería Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), the third highest mountain in the world located in Nepal, becoming the only paquistani mountain woman in accumulating the 12 highest mountains in the world above eight thousand meters.
The summit marked a historic milestone in its search for the 14 peaks of the world above 8,000 m.
Talking with Dawn.com Today, Mingma G, famous Nepali climber and owner of Imagine Nepal, said Kiani was at the top of the peak at 6 am local time (5:15 am Pkt).
Mingma G added that after the successful summit, the expedition team began its descent to camp four and headed towards Basecamp.
The Secretary Alpine Club of Pakistan, Karrar Haidri, congratulated Kiani for the feat.
According to the press release issued by the Kiani team, the achievement consolidated its place not only in the history of Mountainism of Pakistan, but also on the global stage, recording closer to a rare global record and elite: to become one of the less than 20 women in history to accumulate the 14 peaks of 8,000 m in the world.
He said the thrust of the summit began at approximately 6:30 pm on Thursday and continued during the night in severe altitude conditions, including intense snowfall and sub-cero temperatures.
“Despite the challenges, Kiani reached the top safely, driven by unwavering determination and the support of a nation behind her,” said the statement.
“From Pakistan to Kanchenjunga, this summit is not just a personal milestone, it is a message for all girls and women in Pakistan and beyond: you are stronger than you think,” Naila said during his descent, according to the statement.
“I am proud and grateful, but the trip has just begun. Pakistan, this is for you.”
Before starting the thrust of the summit, through a message to his team, Kiani had said: “Escalar Kanchenjunga has been an incredibly difficult expedition and a hard reminder of how difficult it is to climb mountains more than 8,000m.”
Kiani has already accumulated 11 of the 14 peaks of the world above 8,000m, including Everest, K2, Broad Peak, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum-I, Gasherbrum-II, Annapurna, Lhotse, Manaslu, Makalu and Cho Oyu.
“Kanchenjunga is known for its land traic noon and its unpredictable climate,” he added.

Earlier this month, Kiani became the first Pakistani woman at the summit 11 8,000 m peaks in the world.

Months later, Kiani and Sirbaz Khan became the first Pakistani duo in accumulating the 8,201 million Cho Oyu, the highest peak in the world in the Tibet of China.
