One of the members of the strongly armed Canadian armed forces now accused of terrorism allegedly spoke openly about his willingness to use violence against government authorities and warned about another Waco massacre, according to recently revealed judicial documents.
Last month, the RCMP accused four men of Quebec, all with military ties, for allegedly planning a violent plot ideologically motivated “with the intention of taking possession of land in the area of the city of Quebec.”
Together with the positions of weapons, three of them: Marc-Aurèle Chabot, 24, Simon Angers-Audet, 24, and Raphaël Lagace, have been accused of a crime of facilitating a terrorist activity.
A fourth individual, Matthew Forbes, 33, faces positions that include possession of firearms, prohibited devices and explosives and possession of controlled items.
The Canadian armed forces confirmed that Forbes and Chabot are serving members, both based in CFB Valcartier. Angers-Audet is a former member of the CAF and Lagacé was a civil instructor of the Royal Canadian aerial cadets.
According to judicial documents, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service notified the police in March 2023 on an Instagram account called Hide_N_stalk and a possible threat of national security.
That warned an investigation of years known as Project Supion in an alleged anti -government acceleration group well equipped with growing members. (According to CSIS, accelerators advocate the violent destruction of society).
The details are in January 2024 information to obtain applications (ITO), documents submitted by the Police that seek the authorization of a judge to obtain a search warrant.
The documents provide a snapshot of where the investigation was at the time it was presented.
CBC/Radio-Canada and other media fought so that the documents were made public and succeeded Thursday afternoon.
The documents present to the member of the Royal 22E Chabot regiment as the de facto leader who tried to create a community opposed to what he saw as the overreach of the government, and defends it by force if necessary.
According to the documents, the police claim that Chabot was a guest in the podcast Modern Canadian shooter and the comments defended that they could be interpreted as an accelerator.
The episode of June 14, 2023 is no longer available on Spotify, but according to a transcription of the interview cited in the ITO, Chabot spoke of building an anti -government community.
“That is why building a community is important because you cannot trust those bastards. I have seen how the government works and I don’t want to have more of it,” he is accused of saying.
“We have to join and I don’t go (sic) do that rear medium and just say that we are going to shoot them when they enter.”
Chabot is cited as deeply opposite to the Weapons Control Law of the Liberal Government, known as bill C-21. Nor did he seem to have faith in the Federal Conservative Party.
“I still don’t think there is a political solution,” he is accused of saying. “[Conservative Leader Pierre] Pailievre is always bought by the same people. “
“That is why you must depend on yourself, have a community that supports you. So, whatever the FK they try to throw, trying to come after the types that are prepared, they are tight, their shit run well, you cannot,” said Chabot supposedly.
“It will be another Waco.”
It is very likely that it is a reference to the mortal confrontation of 51 days between the religious group Davidian Fringe Branch and the federal agents of the United States near Waco, Texas, in 1993.
The Office of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms of the United States. Uu launched its raid because it suspected that the group was storing weapons illegally. It ended up in flames and shots with more than 80 dead people, including four federal agents and at least 20 children.
Police claim that Chabot was the main user behind Hide_N_stalk and used the HN1 patch during group training exercises. Other members also put HN patches with their corresponding numbers, according to the ITO.
RCMP researchers would describe them as an extremist militant group and Pro-Armas.
The Instagram account publications cited by the RCMP show a member that shows the OK sign, which researchers suggest that it is a symbol of white power. It was used by the shooter in the tragedy of the 2019 Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The researchers claim that the group bought thousands of dollars in firearms and supplies.
DETAIL DOCUMENTS YEARS OF SURVEILLANCE
According to the documents, the four men were under intense police surveillance since the beginning of 2023, including air tracking and GPS.
In May 2023, 17 people identified as members of the Hide_N_STALK group were observed by carrying out military training with Longuns in the Zec Batiscan-Neilson, a controlled desert area near the Quebec city. Later, the police recorded the site and found bullet horses.
According to the analysis of the video taken from the training offered in the ZEC, follow the format offered by the Canadian Armed Forces.

The analysis said it is clear that the training given to the group was a military trained person. He points out that the techniques that were taught were basic, which suggests that the coaches had little experience with them.
In July 2023, RCMP officers infiltrated a training camp offered by a company’s police, said Lagacer was affiliated. According to the documents, it was a training field to prepare for a possible invasion. The documents say that the attendees were awakened in the middle of the night and trained how to cut throats and shoot people in their heads.
Later that summer, CSIS learned of another training field, this near a residence in Rolphton, Ontario, according to the document. Aray and Aray-Audet alleges were seen there.
Police surveillance suggests that on September 11, 2023, another training session was held in a quarry owned by Lagacer’s family with approximately 10 people, including the four defendants.
Undercover officer met with Forbes
In 2023, an RCMP informant also provided anonymous information that Forbes was in possession of weapons and involved in arms trafficking.
The ITO said in September 2023 that an undercover officer looked for forbes night vision glasses.
When they met for the transaction, the undercover officer said that Forbes asked if the reason for the glasses was “preparing when the shit hits the fan.”

The RCMP investigation seems to have accelerated in January 2024. At the beginning of the New Year, Lagacer’s former partner called 911, warning that he was in possession of illegal weapons and had made suicidal comments, according to the documents.
The Quebec City Police responded and discovered more than 50 firearms and ammunition boxes.
A few days later, the RCMP presented its itos and executed searches as part of Project Supion.
In the end, he seized 16 explosive devices, 83 firearms and accessories, approximately 11,000 rounds of ammunition of several calibers and almost 130 magazines.
None of the accusations against four has been tested in the Court.
Angers-Audet, Lagacé and Chabot have denied bail while waiting for their trial. Forbes has been granted under a long list of conditions that include using a GPS tracking bracelet.
His next date in the Court is scheduled for September.
