Rawalpindi: Military lands and cliff presented on Friday a new policy for internal audit at the cliff joints throughout the country.
The General Director of Military Land and Acantonation, Maj Gen Irfan Ahmad Malik, announced a new initiative of the internal audit framework for the cliff joints throughout the country to guarantee the improvement of transparency, responsibility and operational excellence.
According to a press release, the General Directorate of General Audit (ADS) is already carrying out external audits, the need for an internal mechanism had been considered to ensure that corrective measures are taken on time and to reduce the number of audit observations during external reviews.
The recently instituted system has been designed with clear objectives: transparency and uniformity in audit practices, responsibility at all levels of field offices, preventive and corrective action to identify unjustified irregularities or practices in their earliest stage.
A standard operating procedure (SOP) has been formulated designed by the headquarters of the director Dr. Saima Shah, which provides well -defined processes to perform inspection audits in a fair and competitive manner.
This standardized initiative practices in all meetings, guarantees compliance and creates a solid basis for proactive governance. This reform emphasizes the institution’s commitment to strengthen internal controls.
The Marco will serve not only as a set of guidelines, but also as a promise to generate trust, guarantee financial discipline and offer shocking results at the base level.
The internal audit frame is mainly preventive, corrective and healing of nature. When identifying and addressing acts of omission, commission, irregularities or illegalities in the initial stage, the system slows unjustified practices before they intensify.
This strengthens the financial systems of the Acantoning Boards, ensuring optimal performance through compliance with the rules and procedures. The Department of Land and Military Candies affirms that this initiative will not only optimize the audit processes, but also increase the general credibility and performance of the acantonation joints, reinforcing its role in the provision of services and good government.
